On Dec. 19, 2022, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Wind Ensemble performed several pieces at the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church.

The BRHS Wind Ensemble is a band comprised of a select group of sophomores, juniors, and seniors directed by Nicolas Mossa and Thomas Bourgault.

They played numerous songs ranging from composers such as Giovanni Gabrieli, Felix Ruhling, Louis Theodore, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Edvard Grieg, and Gaetano Donizetti.

One of the performers for the Wind Ensemble,  sophomore Helen Zhou, explained:

“The winter recital at the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church was a success—at least from what I experienced that night. These recitals, both the autumn and winter ones, have been a new experience for the entire ensemble, and it was a lot of work to get everything put together the way we hoped. The actual recital was a great experience, and it was definitely different from our standard winter concerts.”

All proceeds made from admission contribute to funding the cost of their travels and collaboration with bands in Virginia.
