On October 8, Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Tri-M, music honor society chapter, held its annual poster-making event after school.
Every year, students in Tri-M get together and make posters of each different type of day in the block rotation schedule for the band and orchestra rooms.
This year, the A Day posters’ themes were American and AI Day. A B day poster had the theme of Ballerina Cappuccina
Day. The C day posters were cat and capybara themed. A D day poster was donut-themed.
Students in Tri-M also received points for participating in the poster-making event.

Newly inducted students also had a chance to meet other people in Tri-M who also share their love for music.
This was also a great bonding activity, since students had to work together to create posters. In turn, they were able to form new friendships and connections.
Lahari Thota, senior and vice president of Tri-M, shares her thoughts about the success of the event.
“The officer board of Tri-M is happy that the poster-making event was a success! This yearly event allows members to get together and put their creativity to use, helping create posters that we use every day for our block system. I’m glad this was a success and can’t wait for the rest of the activities this year!”
Additionally, this yearly event acted as a precursor to what is to come in Tri-M.
The officers are planning lunch concerts and performances at senior centers as a way to get more members of Tri-M involved in the club.
Arnav Bavishi, a sophomore and newly inducted member into Tri-M, talks about his thoughts on the poster-making session.
“I believe the Tri-M poster making session was a great opportunity for members to socialize, share ideas, and collaborate in a creative manner to support our chapter’s goals. The meeting allowed everyone to contribute their ideas, strengthen their bonds with others, and celebrate the artistic spirit that Tri-M represents,” he said.

They are also looking forward to the big event of the year that Tri-M hosts, which is Musical Mayhem. This event is hosted in March, and more details about it will come out closer to the event.
At Musical Mayhem, students can showcase their musical talents and perform for judges. The winner of the competition wins money and a trophy, and of course, the title “Winner of Musical Mayhem.”
