The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls’ swim team has many goals that they are working to achieve.
One of these goals was to fill in the many spots that the graduating seniors left from last year. The team aims to have a winning dual meet record and to make a strong run at the state tournament in February.
Alongside their goals, the Bridgewater-Raritan is anticipating a lot of competition throughout the season. The conference opponents that they are anticipating to face include Ridge High School, Watchung Hills High School, Mount St Mary High School and the Pingry School. The team also looks forward to facing Ridgewood High School, Summit High School, Immaculate Heart Academy and East Brunswick High School at non-conference meets.
The team is looking toward a future filled with great races and thrilling meets with these top-notch opponents.
The team has many milestones that they are working toward. These milestones will be points to grow.
Hall of Fame coach Chris Levin talked about their main milestones.
“Some milestones and benchmarks that we are focusing on this year will mainly be to see how our returning and incoming swimmers step up. One of our mantras each year is ‘Swim Smart, Swim with your Heart.’ We will really aim to personify that saying this year and focus on smart swimming while racing for each other and leaving it all in the pool each day,” he said.
