As juniors approach the college application process, Bridgewater-Raritan High School sought to make the journey a little easier by being the host to its annual College Fair on Tuesday, April 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the large gym. From local universities such as Rutgers to more distant ones like the University of Florida, dozens of admissions officers gathered to meet and answer questions from students and parents.
The College Fair was an excellent opportunity to connect high school students with college representatives. Upperclassmen went home with invaluable information regarding admissions, and students from younger grades were introduced to various universities around the nation as they begin their college search.
Ovia Dushyanthan, a sophomore who experienced the fair firsthand, shared her excitement.
“It’s really cool, really busy. There are a lot of people here, and there’s a lot of good information. I think it’s definitely going to help me in the future,” she said.
From Emory University to the United States Air Force Academy, the College Fair provided a platform for students to explore 85 colleges and discover their interests. Students had the opportunity to learn about many different programs in one place.
