The Bridgewater-Raritan Indoor Percussion performed its energetic show titled “The Sound Gallery” on March 22.
The show consisted of the songs “Spring” by Vivaldi, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston and “Hot To Go” by Chappell Roan.
The day started early, with students’ call time at 7 a.m. This allowed them to rehearse and finalize any music before traveling to RWJ Barnabas Health Arena at Toms River North High School for the performance.
They performed at around 10:55 a.m., and there was a lot of pressure with this performance. The students were more nervous for this competition because it was one of their last performances of the season, and this would determine if they would get to go to the finals. However, they pushed through the nerves and applied their hard work to put on the best show they could that morning.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Indoor Percussion placed 17th with a score of 74.800, but unfortunately, the group could not make it to the finals. However, despite this news, the team decided to enjoy the rest of the competition day together while watching other groups perform.
The team felt proud of all of the accomplishments this season and look forward to next year!
