The Bridgewater library is a classic studying location for students who prefer peace while studying and need access to many resources to write that research paper. The library offers a variety of seating options, including couches, desks and chairs located throughout the building, with access to countless books and databases. Many students enjoy sitting near the courtyard located in the center of the library, with a refreshing view of beautiful greenery as they study.
Freshman, Ronald Liu, shared his thoughts as a frequent studier at the Bridgewater library.
“I enjoy studying in the Bridgewater Raritan Library because it is peaceful enough for me to focus completely on the task at hand. I also enjoy studying there because there is a plethora of materials at my disposal to assist in my studies,” he said.
Barnes & Noble: Somerset Shopping Center, 319 US-202/206, Bridgewater
Barnes & Noble is a great location for students who enjoy being surrounded by books but desire the environment of a café while studying. The in-store café serves a variety of goods, including multiple types of caffeinated beverages, pastries, cookies, soups and sandwiches, making it the perfect place for long study sessions.
Freshman Soumya Choudhary enjoys studying at Barnes & Noble for its inviting atmosphere.
“I love the mix of a quiet bookstore and café at Barnes & Noble.It’s nice to grab drinks, find a place to sit, and study while being surrounded by books,” she said.
Gloria Jean’s Coffees: 400 Commons Way, 3007, Bridgewater
Situated inside the Bridgewater Commons Mall, this coffee shop is a great location for students who like to take occasional breaks for shopping or a quick walk. This cozy café serves a variety of specialty drinks, including flavored lattes and iced coffees, perfect for students who need a boost of caffeine during their study sessions.

Located near the Bridgewater Commons Mall in The Village, Starbucks is a classic study spot that offers a modern and convenient study space with a lively atmosphere. The modern interior and ample seating make it a popular spot for students who like to study while enjoying Starbucks’ renowned coffee and snacks.
Freshman Madison Gilbert provided her insight on studying at Starbucks.
“I like to study at Starbucks because there is always some background music, but it’s never too loud to focus. Plus, I can grab my usual order of coffee and stay there for a long time without feeling rushed,” she said.
Ambee Coffee Co.: 605 US-202, Raritan
Ambee Coffee Co is a local coffee shop with a quiet atmosphere, perfect for focused studying. Known for its handmade coffee and warm ambiance, Ambee Coffee Co. provides students with a welcoming environment that feels more personal and cozy compared to larger chain cafés. The Raritan location also includes a full kitchen, offering a variety of sandwiches and other snacks, along with many baked goods for students who enjoy snacking while studying.
